The place was filled with vendors from all over the area selling fresh, high quality products. Check out these pastured eggs I grabbed from Marble Creek Farmstead . I could hardly wait to get home and make something fun with them! So without further adieu, here is my recipe for Clean Eating Egg Salad!

Tonight I am going to an amazing event with The Birmingham Girls Club . Through this club, I have met some amazing women! This is my second event to attend since becoming a member, and I can't wait! We are all coming together to celebrate one another on this Valentine's week! For tonight's event, I put together a new recipe that is made of four simple ingredients, cucumbers, goat cheese, whole fat greek yogurt, and prosciutto. It's light, simple, and a perfect party food! I have been making cashew milk at home for years because of the healthy fats and the natural calming properties. So, you can imagine my delight when I discovered that Silk had started carrying their own Cashew Milk! I'm sure it will be nice to purchase pre-made non GMO cashew milk on those occasions that I do not have time to make it myself. I usually try to avoid store bought sweetened, condensed milk because of al the additives and processing. So I thought why not make a sweetened, condensed milk with the Cashew Milk I have on hand? It turned out quite delicious! I can't wait to make a...

Thank you for stopping by Spiffy Eats. Today I am sharing a recipe with you that is not only rich in complex flavor, but really simple to make. Make it clean eating by putting it over a side of brown rice or paleo by putting it over a fried egg. Both options are easy and tasty. First, I would like to share a bit of my friend Amber's story. You have heard from Amber before in her post, "Free the Chicks" , where she wrote about the reasons for choosing pastured eggs and chickens. Amber is a school teacher who holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and a BS in Early Childhood Education and...

Today I have a delightful recipe to share with you! It is perfect to whip up when you have a party to attend this Holiday season. This recipe is adapted from Anne Byrn Saves the Day , a cookbook with fantastic recipes designed to "rescue any occasion". I had the privilege of going to a live demo of this recipe and have been wanting to try it out ever since. The original recipe calls for cream cheese. I chose to use whole fat greek yogurt, as most store bought cream cheeses do not have a very clean ingredient list. (Sidenote> I have learned that you can substitue healthy whole fat greek...

This weekend I had the privelege to attend Market Noel, an annual Christmas bizzaar put on by the Junior League of Birmingham . I had such an amazing time and met some incredible people. The next few blog posts I will be highlighting a specific vendor and their products. I hope you will take the time to check out these talented small business owners and try out their products.
