Pecans have always been a big deal in my family. At my grandparents' house in the Mississippi Delta there are giant pecan trees. I remember as a child my dad climbing the tall trees and shaking the branches. Then all us kids would run to gather up the pecans. Grandaddy would give us a little money for each bag of pecans we gathered. This is one of my favorite memories. My cousins and I had so much fun.
