Putting together your Christmas gift list can be stressful. What are you going to get for for your loved ones? Your friends? Everyone has unique personalities, likes and dislikes. But, what do we all have in common? Our health.

What if each gift you gave was not only thoughtful and heartfelt, but also improved the health of the recipient?

I have compiled a list of gift giving ideas that do just that.

1. Massage

Everyone loves a massage. They are so relaxing and rejuvinating! The health benefits of massage are immense. I have started getting massages every month and my body is so happy for it. I can tell an improvement in my mood, decrease in headaches, and an improvement in sleep. If you are local to Birmingham, Alabama, my friend Pam recently started working as a massage therapist full time and is offering an amazing deal right now! Read about it here.

2. Bone Broth

Yes, that's right. I said bone broth. As a gift. Bone broth is one of the best foods you can eat for your immune system and emotional well-being. Whip up a batch the day before your next holiday party and store it in mason jars with about 1/4 inch of room at the top and place in the fridge for no longer than 3 days. Make sure the recipients freeze it for storing up to six months.

3. Guided Meditation Set

Encourage your loved ones to relax with one of the many sets of guided meditation from the Chopra Center. I love these meditations so much. They help me relax and eliminate negative thoughts throughout the day.

4. Essential Oils

I exclusively use Native American Nutritionals essential oils. I use several daily and adore the results. If you are purchasing these oils for a loved one for the first time, I recommend purchasing lavender oil and lemon oil. I also recommend printing out the description of the oil and gifting a few glass roller bottles. I use lavender oil and lemon oil dilluted with organic liquid coconut oil every signle day. I love how they are able to calm my anxiety and focus my mind.

5. Elderberry Syrup

Elderberry syrup is one of the simplest things to make! I use this recipe from Overthrow Martha. Elderberry syrup boosts immunity, encouraging the body to fight disease. I drink a couple teaspoons every day to prevent cold an flu. Anyone on your Christmas list would be thankful for this gift!

My sister has asked us to give her health conscious gifts since year since she's trying to help her husband be healthier. This is an interesting list, I'll definitely look into giving her a massage. I also like the idea of the Elderberry Syrup. Do you know if that's safe to take while pregnant? I'm pretty sure it is but I want to be sure.

Jennifer, I am not sure. It does kick your immune system into high gear. I think she would need to ask her physician.
