Dak's pumpkin pie
The thanksgiving table wouldn't be complete without a soft, pillowy pumpkin pie as the centerpiece. This year, you might be feeding less mouths, but I"m going to show you how to fit all that Daks pumpkin spice flavor into a mini pie the whole family will love!
1 mini pie dish
1 refrigerator pre-made pie dough
1 can sweetened condenced milk
1 1/2 tablepsoons DAKS pumpkin spice
Now, you might be thinking, "wait, that recipe is enough for a whole 9" pie", and you'd be right! We're adding the amount of pie filling you'd use for a 9" pie to a mini pie dish. The trick is to lay your pie crust out in the pie dish, press it down gently, trip the excess, and use the excess to double the pie crust around the edges. Then crimp the pie dough until it's a little higher than the dish, and it should fit all your filling just fine!
To make the filling simply add all the ingredients to a large bowl and whisk to combine. Pour into your pie dish and cover the edgew with aluminum foil to keep the crust from buring. Bake starting at 425 for 15 minutes, then at 350 for anywhere from 35-50 minutes. The time varies based on your oven. Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow it to rest for at least an hour & Enjoy with fresh whipped cream!
