  2. Organic
    Pastured

  3. What does the clean 15 have to do with?
  4. Pesticides
    Food age

  6. Margarine
    Butter

  7. What sugars are considered acceptable on a clean eating diet?
  8. No sugar
Natural sugars from fruits, honey, and molasses

  9. It is more important for beef to be...
  10. Lean
    Grass-fed, pastured

1. Pastured eggs contain: 1/3 less cholesterol, 1/4 less saturated fat, 2/3 more vitamin A, 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids, 3 times more vitamin E, 7 times more beta carotene than regular organic eggs.

2. The dirty dozen list is a list of fruits and vegetables that are recommended to purchased only organic because of the high level of pesticide residue found in them.

3. Processed oils and margarine are rancid (especially when cooked), full of genetically modified organisms (GMO), refined, and highly processed. Studies have shown that they increase excess inflammation in the body and are linked to heart disease.

4. Choose sugars that naturally occur. This will help you avoid the dangers of highly processed sugars, including insulin resistance.

5. Omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin K2 are in higher concentrations in grass-fed cows. Folks that eat meat from grass-fed cows have a lower risk of heart disease, due to the consumption of Omega 3 fatty acids and Vitamin K2, compared to folks that consume meat from cows that are not on a grass diet. Grass-fed is most important when choosing meat due to the amount of nutrients.
