Thank you to Marie Forleo for recommending this fantastic video and helping me figure out my own ”big why”.

My goal today is to help you determine your "big why" on your Instagram account. What is the motivation behind sharing the content that you share? Who are you trying to speak to?

Please don't just skip down to the questions. This video is key to understanding how to properly answer them.

”People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.” Let’s change this for our purposes.
”People don’t follow what you share, they follow why you share it.”

Yes beautiful content matters. There is no doubt about that. But, at the core of that beautiful content there has to be a bigger meaning. What inspires that beautiful photo of a smoothie bowl? Why are you sharing that picture of a superfood latte? Letd’s dig a little deeper into this concept.

”The goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe.”
People will be loyal to you because your content proves what they believe.
What do you believe in so strongly that no one can change your mind? Write down three core beliefs you hold dear.

”Martin Luther King gave his speech I have a dream, not I have a plan. There are those who lead and there are leaders. Leaders hold a position of power or authority. But those who lead, inspire us.”
How can you begin to incorporate your beliefs into your Instagram photos and captions in a way that inspires your audience?

People who believe what you believe will take your cause and share with others.
What steps can you take to connect on a deeper level with others who believe what you believe?

If someone walked up to you on the street and said, ”why do you share those healthy food & holistic living tips on Instagram?”, how would you answer them?

I hope this has helped you determine the answer to your ”big why”. Now that you know, I hope you have more clarity on who the people are that you want to reach and how you hope to make a difference in their lives.
