No-nonsense smoothie recipe
I've learned over the years that eating a big breakfast early in the morning is not something I enjoy. Something about my cravings when I first wake do not lend themselves to devouring protein rich bacons, eggs, or biscuits. Brunch... now that's my jam! I love breakfast food, I just prefer to eat it later in the day.
I've discovered that my body is much happier with a hearty, creamy smoothie or smoothie bowl in the early morning. I pack my smoothies with greens, healthy proteins, and yummy fruit to give myself a powerful start to the day.
Here's one of my favorite recipes.
Ingredients
1
Banana (frozen in small chunks) 1
handful frozen berries of choice 2
handfuls fresh spinach 1 T
powdered peanut butter 1⁄2 c
Califia Farms unsweetened almond milkInstructions
Toss it all in a blender together and blend until it reaches your desired texture. Enjoy!
