Fruit-free smoothie
Beautiful hand-made spoon by Michelle Leach Pottery
I have been preoccupied with some serious stuff in my family the last two months. I haven't had the time to share recipes or photography tips with you guys the way I would like. So this week, I'm working hard to create some fun new content. And first on the list is this fruit-free smoothie bowl!
Some days, I crave a smoothie, but I just don't crave the flavor of all that fruit- so sometimes I just use veggies!
Ingredients
1⁄3
of a Raw Zucchini 1 sli
Frozen Avocado 1 c
Fresh spinach 1 c
Frozen Cauliflower 1⁄3
of a Steamed Sweet Potato 1
Cube Frozen Coconut Milk ((I buy a can of whole fat coconut milk and pour it into an ice tray and use a cube whenever I need it)) 1 ds
Pure Maple Syrup (to taste) 1 1⁄2 c
Unsweetened almond milkInstructions
Blend all ingredients together in a high power blender. Add toppings and enjoy!
Notes
Optional add-ins: cinnamon, granola, coconut flakes, sunflower seeds, almond butter
