Beautiful hand-made spoon by Michelle Leach Pottery

As I shared in my last post, I have been preoccupied with some serious stuff in my family the last two months. I haven't had the time to share recipes or photography tips with you guys the way I would like. So this week, I'm working hard to create some fun new content. And first on the list is this nutrient-rich fruit-free smoothie bowl!

I am currently working hard through diet and exercise to stabilize my blood sugar to lead a life with more physical and emotional balance. And one great way to do that is to limit the amount of sugar I consume in one setting. If you follow me on Insta stories you've noticed that my morning smoothies have been filled with less fruit and more veggies. While fruit is good for my body, and I love it, I am choosing to consume it in a more mindful way which I've noticed gives me more sustained energy.

of a Raw Zucchini
1 sli
Frozen Avocado
1 c
Fresh spinach
1 c
Frozen Cauliflower
of a Steamed Sweet Potato
Cube Frozen Coconut Milk ((I buy a can of whole fat coconut milk and pour it into an ice tray and use a cube whenever I need it))
1 ds
Pure Maple Syrup (to taste)
1 1⁄2 c
Unsweetened almond milk

Blend all ingredients together in a high power blender. Add toppings and enjoy!

Optional add-ins: Homemade chia pudding, homemade flax pudding, Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, cinnamon, granola, coconut flakes, sunflower seeds, almond butter
