This week has turned out to be one of the most stressful weeks ever! I have a lot of really awful things happening in my personal life and I'm doing my best to stay in a positive mindset. Today, I thought about giving up on the #bloglikecrazy challenge. My attention has a lot of really important things to focus on right now, but I've decided to try to stick with it. Any of my other blogger friends out there taking the November challenge? What methods do you use to stay consistent?

Woman Code breaks down the biological effect that food has on our endocrine system. The theory of the woman code way is that you eat certain foods that contain certain nutrients based on where you’re at in your cycle. For instance, during your menstrual phase it’s recommended that you add beets to your diet. Beets contain high amounts of iron to replenish the body during your period. It also recommends certain types of exercise...

You made it through January. You accomplished some of your goals, stuck to some of your resolutions, but missed the mark on a few. How should you deal with those missed goals or resolutions? Show yourself GRACE . This year is one of the most exciting years of my life. I have launched Spiffy Eats as a full-time venture, I'll be hosting an Instagram challenge, and I'm writing an e-course. I'm getting to know my audience of food photographers better than I ever have. And I am in complete control of my time for the first time in a long time. I set some pretty lofty goals for the month of January...

Last year I had a health scare. I had been experiencing a lot of pain in my lower abdomen for about a month and went for a doctor visit. As I sat in the doctor's office all manner of scary scenarios entered my brain. The doctor came back in and said "After the x-rays, we see that your bowels are blocked up. I am writing you a prescription for magnesium citrate. You will be better in no time." Leave it to me to think I'm terribly ill only to find out I'm just full of crap! ha! So I went home and began furiously researching magnesium. I realized that there were many symptoms of low magnesium...

I have been practicing meditation regularly for a couple of years now and I still have a lot to learn. Meditation requires patience and the willingness to be still for a few minutes each day. If you are like myself and have the desire to grow in your meditation practice, I encourage you to try guided meditations. These are meditations where someone talks you through a particular focus point and assists you in eliminating distractions. Oprah & Deepak free 21 day meditations are my favorite! They have a round of free guided meditations every couple of months, and if you love them you can...
