Anyone can be an active, healthy person! Today I decided what better way to get my exercise on that to clean my front porch. Trust me, I it doesn't look like much. It still needs a deep clean and a whole renovation. But check out some before pics. Ok, enough of that!!!! I am pretty embarrassed of how messy I let it get. No excuses! Moving on. I decided to move out all of the junk and really get my...

If you enjoy this recipe, make sure to pin it! I would love to follow your Pinterest boards! Last week for Thirsty Thursdays I did recipes for 5 girly drinks! I ended up with lots of leftover fruit. So I figured, why not make a fresh fruit salad with my leftovers! I chopped up a few strawberries and a couple slices of apple and squeezed some fresh lemon juice on top to keep the apples from browning. Then I chopped up a couple slices of...

Spring is in the air! As the weather gets warmer, I still crave a warm cup of coffee in the morning. Right now we're brewing a local grind from Red Bike Coffee . It is devine! I recently became interested (maybe obsessed because of all the amazing health benefeits) with using pure, unrefined, organic coconut oil in everything! I found that it adds a very creamy flavor to my coffee without the use of any dairy products. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy locally vat processed, organic milk pretty often (Thank you Working Cow of Alabama ), but a dairy free option is always a nice change of pace. I...

Summer is a fun, active time of year for me. There are days when I want to spend as much time as possible outdoors jogging, cycling, or going to the river with my friends. It can be very easy to make less than healthy choices on days like this. Opting for a quick drive thru or munching on snack food from the convenience store. I have found that making simple salads in the evening opens up the next day for more healthy and CLEAN EATING options. This recipe is a base. I use these staple veggies and add all kinds of variations throughout the Summer. I hope this helps you make good choices for...
